With the heighten tension from the Middle East conflict and the much heated protests against Israel form many parts of the world coming super strongly especially from the Muslim quarters, Israel is being pictured as the sole aggressor. A lot of hate feelings against the Jews are in the air.
The French here are quick to cool the air some what by showing films on how the Jews had suffered in particular some 6 millions of them were brutally slaughtered in the 2nd world war by the Nazi German under Hitler. The German church did not lift a finger to stop this madness giving a public impression that the church supports that Jews must die because they were the ones who murdered Jesus Christ.
Perhaps in today's reading of the Bible, continuing on the history of Joseph, we all can learn something from this incredibly wise man.
Genesis 50:19-20 :- Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
One of the last things that Jesus said while being hanged on the cross was "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do". Now Jesus has forgiven them, who are we then to continue to take it out on the Jews?
Satan the devil will love to see man killing each other because only man is made in the image & likeness of God. Let's heed the voice of God & begin to love & care for one another irrespective of race & creeds.
